Emerald Strings is a private violin and viola studio for lessons and ensemble coaching. Sophie has experience teaching all levels of students from age three to adult, At Emerald Strings, students study a variety of repertoire from fiddle to classical, scales, etudes and pop.  Good intonation and beautiful sound are the cornerstones of Sophie's teaching philosophy, honed over the course of her thirty year violin study.  Sophie guides students to feel confident and play without tension, while at the same time working hard and enjoying themselves.
